FAQs
Do you take insurance?
1
I only accept Alameda Alliance and San Francisco Health Plan. For all others, I am out of network although clients with a PPO and qualifying diagnosis can work with me out-of-network. You pay for sessions and then submit a receipt for insurance reimbursement.
Do you offer a free consultation?
2
Absolutely! The primary healing factor in therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist. I value having an opportunity for us to explore whether we are a good fit.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
3
Length of treatment depends on the person, couple, or family. From the first session, we will explore how to identify when it is time to terminate (aka you “graduate” from therapy). Therapy is not meant to be forever!
How often will we meet?
4
In my clinical experience, therapy is most effective when sessions occur consistently, at a minimum of once per week. Regular sessions allow us to maintain continuity, build momentum, and create the consistency needed for meaningful therapeutic work and lasting change.
